Overview:
When your organization completes its migration from QuickHelp to the BrainStorm platform, administrators can choose to enable a special Redirect setting. This feature automatically sends end-users from the QuickHelp portal directly into the BrainStorm platform's end-user portal.
This article explains what happens for both administrators and end-users when the redirect is turned on.
Administrators:
New Migration Setting: A new “Redirect users to BrainStorm” checkbox is available in the Ready to Migrate section of the Admin Portal.
Control Access:
The setting is available only after migration is marked as completed.
Before migration is finished, the option is disabled.
Admins can turn the setting on or off at any time after migration.
Redirect Scope:
This affects only the QuickHelp end-user portal
The Admin Portal is not impacted—you will still be able to access the QuickHelp admin tools as usual.
Impact:
Once enabled, all end-user access to the QuickHelp portal will automatically redirect to the BrainStorm platform.
The system also displays a “Completed” label once migration is finished, confirming that the redirect setting is ready to use.
To enable the Migration Redirect feature:
- Click Settings on the QuickHelp Admin page.
- Under the Company section, enable Redirect users to BrainStorm.
- Click Save Changes.
End Users:
Seamless Transition: Once your company’s admin has completed the migration and enabled the redirect you will not longer be able to visit the QuickHelp end-user portal.
Automatic Redirect: Instead, you will be instantly redirected to the new BrainStorm end-user portal.
No Action Required: You don’t need to update saved links or bookmarks—any attempt to access the QuickHelp end-user portal will take you to BrainStorm automatically.
Email Links: If you happen to still receive an email with a QuickHelp link, it will also redirect you to BrainStorm.
